Some of us who choose the THPL journey do it in a way that is inspiring and intriguing. And yet when some look from the outside they get a bit more critical than what might be appropriate. For example, we have this label of “ski bum” for adventurers who choose to spend winters skiing and working and enjoying the day to day of being in the mountains. Maybe this is a bit judgmental. It seems that maybe we do not understand what the intent of the ski bum is. They are really seeking to maximize their potential, to experience life at a very deep level and to build expertise through lots and lots of practice. So, they really are a role model for commitment and excellence and being the best that they can be and an inspiration to each of us who one day might make the same kind of commitment…..
Loving life when I live like a ski bum
