There are some activities on our THPL journey that are journeys in and of themselves. The easiest example is the long distance run. Something that will take many hours, be difficult and challenging and generate, when completed, a feeling of satisfaction, achievement, success. It is sometimes hard to find such examples in other parts of our life, as life generally, is not so buttoned up, so easy to measure. Which makes us want to find opportunities in areas of our personal interest to create that mini-journey. Today that opportunity was provided by a 31-mile running race that was tough, and challenging and long enough to provide opportunities to reflect, appreciate and give thanks. The distance completed, the next challenge tomorrow and then from there all bets are off.
Loving life when the journey is 31 miles
