the dialogue

One thing that we all find out as we go along our THPL journey is that we have a lot to learn.  Learning about topics, techniques, practices, people, life and so much more.  And we can learn in different ways; by observation, studying, practicing, and interacting (especially talking).  It is in this form (interacting) of learning that we grow and develop in ways that might not be obvious.  For it is in the dialogue, in the need to form an argument, take a position, defend our thoughts, make a point, draw a conclusion, that the deepest form of learning happens.  It is experiential, it is substantive, it is thoughtful, and it is reasoned.  And while we might sometimes start with the premise that we know, the process of learning through dialogue and interaction is when we find out if we really do know, or how deep we know, or how much we still need to learn.  So, let’s stay in the discussion, keep an open mind, encourage discourse and benefit from the journey and the outcome.  There is little that can be better on our THPL journey……

Loving life when I keep the dialogue going
