A big part of THPL is learning - learning from others, learning by yourself, learning by researching. As you take a path towards higher and higher levels of performance learning is essential. That is, you need to find out how to do “it” better before you can do “it” better. And with such a tight connection between learning and performance we need to think about how to make learning be as effective as possible. Experiential learning, through project work, apprenticeships, and involvement in “domain” specific groups/clubs is essential to improving our odds of rapid learning and retention of the knowledge of how to perform. The key is to make sure to be active, not passive about learning and your need to learn. By engaging early and often you can improve your performance and have connected lifetime learning with THPL and the resulting benefits from living this way.
Loving life, and learning and learning and learning
