Climate March

THPL is all about making our lives and the planet we live on a better place for today and tomorrow.  To this point it bears noting that coming up this week, on September 23 the UN is hosting a Climate Summit.  It has been written that the UN Secretary General is urging world leaders to reach a meaningful global agreement for tackling global warming and pollution.  And to bring attention to the Summit a grass roots effort has begun that is going to start tomorrow.  The feeling is that the whole world is watching and what better time to make a statement about where we are and what we need to do.  The march tomorrow (the Climate March) in NYC might be the biggest ever assembled for this kind of event.  If you are in the area you can check out the plan for tomorrow at

It is the expectation that more people will take to the streets in a peaceful way tomorrow and this is very exciting.  And an example of the kind of support coming behind this march the CEO of Patagonia announced that the four stores it runs in NYC will close for much of the day tomorrow so that employees can participate.  Here is what she said “With our future on the line and the whole world watching, we’ll take a stand to bend the course of history. We’ll take to the streets to demand the world we know is within our reach: a world with an economy that works for people and the planet; a world safe from the ravages of climate change; a world with good jobs, clean air and water, and healthy communities.”  I could not have said it better.

It will be fun to report on the progress that is made tomorrow.   Stick with saving the planet and you can just about never go wrong

Loving life , when the climate march goes viral.
