Where does it all go?

We know that living on our planet puts a strain on it and we know that part of our commitment to living THPL is doing better and better across all dimensions of the Life element.  And after reading some new research compiled by scientists from the US, France, Chile, Australia and New Zealand I feel compelled to do something to make a few changes and suggestions.  Their work found that there are more than five trillion pieces of plastic floating in the world’s oceans.  The volume of plastic pieces, largely derived from products such as food and drink packaging and clothing, was calculated from data taken from 24 expeditions over a six-year period to 2013. I am no scientist but even if they are overstated by a lot this is an issue of tragic and epic proportion.  So, how about we all think about what we can do to slow the growth of this controllable issue.  Maybe one of my goals (maybe for all THPLers) should be to use less plastic in 2015.  Maybe, then just maybe, we can start to treat this wonderful planet a bit better.  Yes, it starts with, and ends with us.  Time to make a difference….please and thank you
